On this day in 1877, the phonograph was invented. This machine allowed people to listen to phonograph records. How do you think listening to these records was different than listening to music today? What may be the advantages and disadvantages of each type of machine?
I think music then is just like music now, they didn't know any different as do we. If you are comparing the the two now, there is a significant difference between the two. Par-say the sound is different because of the technological difference between then and now. It would be just like watching a black and white movie. Listening to music now is a lot easier, it may not be as authentic but it is definitely easier .
